Description: This project consisted of the reconstruction of the interchange of Business 55 (Veterans Parkway) and Interstate I-55. The project included a shift and realignment of the southbound lanes, as well as an increase of lanes from four lanes to six. Included in the project as well was new construction and alignment of a ramp, and also the widening of Veterans Parkway. Along with a major paving project there was substantial Earthwork and bridge removal and construction. The project required over 20 stages in order to complete the work with minimal disruptions to traffic. All interstate lane closures were only permitted between 8 PM and 6 AM. Do to the tight time frame, we suggested multiple proposals, which were utilized and reduced the length and cost of the project for the owner.
