Location: First section begins approximately 2.1 mile north of the Christian County Line and extends just north of John Street in Rochester. The second section begins 0.2 miles south of IL 104 in Taylorville and extends on Rt. 29 approximately 1 mile south of Edinburg.

Description: This project consists of the construction of approximately 12.30 mile of roadway improvements, including 10 miles of a new four-lane rural expressway along existing Illinois Route 29 from Taylorville. Additional roadway improvements include approximately 2.0 miles of bituminous pavement widening and overlay along existing section of IL Rt. 29 and Il Rt. 104. This work includes construction of full depth bituminous pavement with paved shoulders on lime modified and aggregate subgrade, construction of pre-cast and cast-in place box culverts, pipe culverts and storm sewer. Construction also includes removal and replacement of two existing bridge structures, removing and replacing guardrail and concrete curb and gutter.
